The Accountants Daily Australian Accounting Awards are the only industry awards designed to showcase excellence across the breadth of the accounting profession through a broad range of categories designed to recognise the industry's leaders.

This event will celebrate the success of organisations of all sizes and individuals in all areas of expertise. It will bring together professionals from across Australia, paying tribute to those who have paved the way for achievement and advancement in their organisations.

The winners will be high achievers in each category, from the most senior trailblazers to the profession’s young guns.

Across 28 categories, individuals and businesses within the accounting industry are invited to participate by lodging a submission that showcases their professional performance, leadership capabilities and personal achievements. Submissions in individual categories are automatically entered into the running for the Accountants Daily Excellence Award, which is awarded to the highest-scoring winner across all individual categories. The Editor’s Choice Award acknowledges the outstanding contribution to the accounting industry by an individual.

Entry requirements

  • Entrants must address all submission questions, supply business metrics and attach supporting documents where required. Submissions MUST be lodged online via the awards portal.
  • There is a 300-word limit per question. If you exceed this, the system will not allow you to lodge your submission.
  • Entrants are encouraged to attach supporting material for the judges to strengthen their submission. This material may differ depending on the category and can include images, video, statistics, media coverage and other relevant information. If documents are not relevant to your submission, they will be disregarded. 
  • The deadline for entries is 10 March 2017.

Confidentiality

All submissions are treated with the strictest confidentiality and only viewed by the Australian Accounting Awards judging panel.

Lodging multiple submissions

If you are lodging submissions for multiple award categories, congratulations! Please take a common-sense approach to creating submissions for multiple categories. While producing an awards submission can be a time-consuming process, there are ways in which you can reduce the work required. For example, you may be able to use the same core submission for a number of different categories, tailored to the specifics of each category.
